Understanding Ourselves using Herrmann's Brain Dominance Index

Herrmann's Brain Dominance Index HBDI shows that people think in fundamentally different ways and need to be treated differently. If you treat everyone the same you will satisfy about a quarter of them and turnoff three-quarters.

Deliverables includes:

  • Each person will be profiled through Herrmann International's HBDI profile web site
  • Each person will receive the e-learning module from Herrmann International
  • Each person will receive access to Bruce Holland's paper "Understanding Ourselves using Herrmann's Thinking Preferences"
  • Each person will receive a booklet from Herrmann International about HBDI from the perspective of the four quadrants
  • Each person will get a personal profile map of their thinking style under normal conditions and under stress
  • Each person will get a profile map of their team showing the relative thinking styles of members of the team; this will show differences, explain tensions and build understanding, trust and respect for each other and help people work together more effectively
  • Each person will get a profile map of the whole group showing the relative thinking styles of members of the group; this will show differences, explain tensions and build understanding, trust and respect for each other and help people work together more effectively
  • Each person will understand their strengths and how to play to them
  • Each person will understand their weaknesses and how to cover them
  • The group will end up with a language or way of talking about deeper issues that English does not deal with well.
